March

Everything about March—

Lions and lambs-- is true

Sweaters, shorts, sun, rain, sleet

But bulbs bloom

Through snow, mud on both.

Daffodils, bold, and crocus

Seeming delicate, but not.

Like the rainbow, God’s promise

Of good things to come.

Impossible to plan the days,

Changeable every hour.

For me, March is also a counter

Of married life, of husband’s age—

Vivat both.Everything about March—

Through snow, mud on both.

Seeming delicate, but not.

Like the rainbow, God’s promise

Impossible to plan the days,

Changeable every hour.

For me, March is also a counter

Of married life, of husband’s age—

Vivat both.
